I took the bike out this afternoon for a three hour ride. Headed down to Coolidge and then over to Casa Grande, up to Maricopa and home.
Two lane highways are my favorites, and I was able to keep to them the entire trip.
It was interesting to me that the bike really smoothed out after about 50 or so miles. It had a mean growl for the first hour, but then it seemed to get a bit mellow. Perhaps it has been a while since the bike had been on a run. Perhaps it was my imagination.
After a while it just seemed to purr. A nice rumbly purr.
And it likes to go fast. This thing climbs right up to 75 in no time flat. Holding to 300 miles per day at 50 MPH should be no problem. LOTS of stopping for photographs and portraits.
